A polished Rioja Crianza from high-altitude Tempranillo in Rioja Alta, aged 12 months in American and French oak with additional bottle ageing for complexity. Ripe cherry fruit, subtle oak spice, and a smooth, balanced palate with freshness and structure. Elegant, versatile, and effortlessly drinkable.
Il Maggio Chianti Classico Chianti Classico DOCG- Tuscany 2022-91 pts Wine Align
A terrific value from Castellina in Chianti. Bright and fresh, red fruit-focused, succulent and juicy, vigorous but with fine-grained tannins, a wine from relatively high elevation vineyards - 400 meters on the soil type know as "Formazione di Silano", a type of limey marl prevalent in the region. It's drinking beautifully now on the fruit, though it will surely hold and turn more savoury in the next 2-3 years. WELL MADE, well balanced and Delicious.

L’autrement -meaning done differently, limited production of only 5000 bottles 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and made without added sulphites. Black fruits, floral, juicy, vibrant and expressive with elegant tannins and freshness. Minimal intervention, Bordeaux with clarity and authenticity.
