92 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
"The 2019 Fincas de Landaluce Crianza has a berry and herbal nose denoting a modern Tempranillo with good ripeness at 14.25% alcohol and with a juicy texture... medium to full-bodied with fine tannins and a chalky sensation in the finish." — Luis Gutiérrez, Robert Parker
Why We Love It
We love when a grape like Graciano gets the spotlight. It’s bold, lifted, and incredibly drinkable. The Landaluce team brings just the right balance of intensity and finesse—no flash, just flavour. When a wine is this expressive, structured, and still under the radar? That’s a win in our books.
About the Winery
Bodegas Landaluce is a quality-focused winery based in Laguardia, at the heart of Rioja Alavesa. With a commitment to vineyard expression, sustainability, and low-intervention winemaking, the estate blends tradition and innovation to craft expressive wines with structure and finesse.
Region & Vineyards
Crafted in Rioja Alavesa—Rioja’s northernmost and most Atlantic-influenced subregion—this Graciano comes from high-altitude plots surrounding Laguardia. ( Verdecillo, El Prao and Carravaleseca) The soils are a mix of limestone and clay, and the vineyards sit at approximately 600 metres above sea level. This elevation encourages slow, even ripening, preserving the variety’s naturally vibrant acidity and aromatics.
Graciano is notoriously difficult to grow and rarely bottled on its own, but in the right terroir it offers structure, freshness, and deeply expressive character.
What Sets It Apart

· Sourced from high-altitude, low-yielding vineyards in Rioja Alavesa
· Naturally high acidity and strong structure—perfect for ageing
· Focused and food-friendly, offering a bold alternative to Tempranillo
