Il Maggio Chianti Classicso DOCG, 2020, Tuscany -91 Wine Align

A terrific value from Castellina in Chianti. Bright and fresh, red fruit-focused, succulent and juicy, vigourous but with fine-grained tannins, a wine from relatively high elevation vineyards - 400 meters on the soil type know as "Formazione di Silano", a type of limey marl prevalent in the Castellina in Chianti region. It's drinking beautifully now on the fruit, though it will surely hold and turn more savoury in the next 2-3 years. WELL MADE, well balanced and Delicious.

Gorgoli IGT-SuperTuscan, Terre Del Bruno, 2020, DOCG -90 Wine Align

Gorgoli is a blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon and 50% sangiovese, rich in flavour. Ripe red plum, raspberry jam, mushroom broth and coffee on a complex palate. Tannins are supple and the wine is drinking very well. A tinge of umami permeates the finish of very good length.

Terre Del Bruno Chianti DOCG, 2023 Tuscany—90 J. Suckling

A blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10 % Canaiolo and 5% Colarino from Pogni vineyard. Cherry and violet aromas with juicy intensity, accompanied by some creamy notes with slightly tannic flavours . Sweetly complex, well balanced and structured.

Piemaggio Chianti Classico Le Fioraie DOCG, 2019--*92 points Vinous

Piemaggio’s flagship Chianti Classico ferments spontaneously in stainless steel during a 3 ½ week maceration, and spends two years aging in a combination of concrete tanks and previously used wooden casks—mainly 25-hectoliter Slavonian oak, with some 500-liter French oak employed as well. Utterly textbook in character, it combines earth, bright fruit, and tangy acidity, with notable yet unforced concentration; it is a wine of balance and ego-less drink-ability.

Diligo Pinot Grigio, 2024 Veneto, Italy

A clean flavourful pinot grigio from the Northern reaches of Italy, between the provinces of Treviso and Pordenone. Persistent & intense aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. Full and slightly tangy, mineral traces, banana, peach with shades of yeast. Good length too. Fine Value

Visconti Rosso di Montalcino, Organic, 2021, Tuscany

Baby Brunello-Made with 100% organically grown Sangiovese grapes, this wine has a bright ruby red colour with violet reflections. The aroma is intense with a fresh fruitiness with notes of violet, cherry, and plum. The tannins are ripe and soft, leading into a long finish.
