Why We Love It
This 91-point stunner doesn’t need a special occasion—it creates one.
This is exactly the kind of Cabernet we reach for when we want big flavour without a big spend. It’s polished, powerful, and unmistakably Mendoza—with altitude-driven freshness that keeps it from ever feeling heavy.
About the Winery
Finca Martha is a revitalized estate in San Rafael, Mendoza, acquired by the Barale family in 2001. The winery focuses on producing approachable, fruit-forward wines that highlight the purity of Mendoza’s high-altitude vineyards. This Cabernet delivers varietal character with broad appeal.
Region & Vineyards
Grown in the high-altitude subregion of Valle de Uco, where cooler nights and sunny days produce grapes with both ripeness and freshness. The region’s rocky, alluvial soils naturally stress the vines, leading to concentrated fruit and well-defined structure—ideal for premium Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cabernets from Mendoza are known for their dark berry fruit, herbal notes like mint or eucalyptus, and a firm yet polished tannin structure. The best examples strike a balance between New World generosity and Old World finesse, often showing hints of spice, graphite, and dried herbs layered over rich plum and cassis fruit.
