Why We Love It

We love the energy and refinement of Elle—a Rioja that’s graceful without being shy. With its lifted fruit, silky feel, and subtle spice, this is Rioja reimagined: vibrant, expressive, and free from rigid labels. Crafted by people who care more about balance than rules, it’s the kind of bottle that quietly outshines the crowd.

About the Winery

Bodegas Landaluce is a quality-focused  winery based in Laguardia, at the heart of Rioja Alavesa. With a commitment to vineyard expression, sustainability, and low-intervention winemaking, the estate blends tradition and innovation to craft expressive wines with structure and finesse.

Region & Vineyards

From Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa—an area prized for its high elevation, limestone-rich soils, and cool Atlantic influence. These plots sit around 600 metres above sea level, offering freshness,

Winemaking

For Elle, Landaluce does not follow traditional Reserva ageing methods. Instead, the wine is released under a generic back label, allowing more freedom.  This approach lets the wine be judged on its own merits, rather than adhering to the standard Rioja classification. Fermentation is done in stainless steel to preserve freshness, followed by 12 months of ageing in French oak.
